Known as one of Indiaas most successful captain and a great batsman in his time Ganguly retired in 2011. After disappointing stints in the IPL with Kolkata Knight Riders and the Pune Warriors, fans and critics wanted him out. And finally in 2011, when the organisers refused to let him join the Kochi Tuskers, he retired with his head bowed down. Ganguly was also a part of the Great Indian Batting quartet along with Laxman, Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar.
