The core of the Spurs win was based on the performance of their midfield. The pairing of Victor Wanyama and Moussa Dembele is growing stronger with Aeach week and the pair is impressing the fans with each passing game-week. They looked rock solid sitting in front of the defence, tackling with precision and not giving any space to the opposition attackers, and at the same time feeding their own attackers with passes and tracking the ball whenever possesion was given up.
The composure at the back and steadiness and calmness in the midfield gave an attacking threat to Spurs as Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Cristian Eriksen were given the license to attack freely and it ultimately led to Alli scoring twice to secure a crucial home win. The 20 year old midfielder showcased his immense talent and showed his reliability in big games once again.
