Kolkata, August 9th: Punjab FC (PFC) will look to bounce back from their loss in the previous game when they face Bangladesh Army Football Team in a Group A fixture of the 132nd IndianOil Durand Cup which will be played here at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharathi Krirangan. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6 PM.

PFC lost their previous match 2-0 in a closely fought contest against Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Kishore Bharathi Krirangan. The Army side from Bangladesh had lost their first match to Mohun Bagan 5-0 and they held another local side East Bengal to a 2-2 draw after being 2-0 down. A win for PFC in this match will be crucial to keep their hopes alive for a place in the knockouts.

“After analysing our last match, we saw a lot of positives in our game but we have to avoid individual mistakes in our defensive zone. Keeping this in mind, we are going to our next game and we will try to give opportunities to some other players for them to showcase their skills and get the maximum possible points”, said PFC Head Coach Staikos Vergetis ahead of the game.

Punjab FC are yet to open their account in the group while Bangladesh Army FT have one point from two matches.
