#3: Letting Pakistan of the hook
England had the game under control in the 1st innings when Pakistan were struggling at 134-4. Had England picked wickets then Pakistan would have struggled to get over 250. While batting in the 1st innings as well England were cruising at 118-1 but after that England lost wickets at regular intervals many of them through bad shot selection and ended up being all out for 272. In the 2nd innings as well Pakistan were in trouble at 6o-4 Abut England allowed Asad shafiq and Sarfaraz Ahmed to play freely and Pakistan was able to put up a good target on the board which was going to be tough for the England batting order.
