Pakistan Beat England by 75 runs in the 1st Test at Lord’s and went 1-0 up in the A4 Match series. Here are some reasons why England failed against Pakistan in the 1st Test!

#1: Moeen Ali’s miserable form

Moeen Ali’s form both with the bat and ball has been ordinary. England and Pakistan both played with one spinner each. Pakistan played a pure bowler while England continued with there part time spinners’ strategy and it backfired badly. AAli was not looking threatening with the ball at all. While on the other hand Yasir Shah bowled brilliantly, he used the rough area to good effect and varied his line brilliantly. While Ali picked only 2 wickets in the match, he didn’t impress with the bat either scoring 23 and 2 in each innings. If England are to do well in this series Ali needs to get his form back both with the bat and the ball.
