Taisuke Matsugae

Taisuke Matsugae - 5 Foreign Players who are being missed in Hero I League this season

This Japanese talismanic right midfielder/winger is a welcome addition to any team. Matsugae first came to India in January 2013, for a trial with Shillong Lajong FC. Having successfully completed his trials, he scored 4 goals for them during the course of the season and established himself as a regular in the team. Mumbai FC signed him for his services the next year and he went on to become a favourite of Yellow Brigade, Mumbaias diehard fan club. He spent two crucial seasons at the club and helped his side fight relegation under seasoned coach Khalid Jamil. He is currentlya free agent. We see no reason why, at 34, this gutsy midfielder canat be a part of any I League club.
