The suspense over wrestler Narsingh Yadav’s fate is likely to end today as the decision over the dope-tainted wrestler will be announced by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).
The decisionA buy baclofen, acquire zithromax. was postponed by the Agency on SaturdayAsaying that they need more time to go through all the documents, reports and arguments in the case.
“No decision could be taken today. The panel is going through all the documents. We are reviving the entire case and should be able to come with an outcome tillAMondayA4 pm. A lot of reports and documents have been presented and it is taking time to go through it,” Naveen Aggarwal, DG NADA told the media.
The quota with a bronze medal finish in last year’s World Championships was grabbed by Narsingh and he tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid on both his ‘A’ and ‘B’ samples. He has been temporarily suspended since then.
Narsingh’s hopes of representing India at the 74kg event in next month’s Rio Olympics received a further blow ahead of the hearingAon WednesdayAas Ahis second dope test conducted by the NADA on July 5th was failed by him.
Meanwhile, Narsingh has cried foul play, claiming that his food had been spiked and an FIR has been filed by him at the Sonepat Police Station against two fellow wrestlers.
Narsingh’s claims of a conspiracy were also backed by WFI chief ABrij Bhushan Sharan Singh, after his sparring partner and roommate Sandeep Tulsi also tested positive for drugs.
Following the positive tests, Parveen Rana was named as Narsingh’s replacement to save India the quota place. The move has been approved by United World Wrestling.
Narsingh was selected for the Rio Olympics in controversial circumstances as trials to determine who should go to the games was demanded by two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar.
However, Narsingh was favoured for it after fighting a lengthy legal battle with Sushil.
