Kabaddi World Cup this year, will be hosted by India, featuring 12 countries, in October.
USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Iran, Poland, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea, Japan and Kenya will be playing in the event the dates for which will be declared later.

It has been pointed out by IKF officials that they are taking special care to guarantee that the selection of the participant teams for the World Cup is representative of every Olympic geography.

Kabaddi became a part of Asian Games in the year 1990 and all the gold medals since have been won by India.
The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup will be officially broadcasted by the Star Sports. All matches will be telecast exclusively on the Star Sports network and Hotstar.
