IPL 2019: BCCI release the complete schedule of league stage

IPL Schedule 2019

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the full schedule for the league stage of the Indian Premier League 2019. BCCI had released the schedule for the first 17 matches earlier.

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will host Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener on March 23. All eight teams will play seven home matches at their respective home venues.

The schedule is balanced in terms of afternoon matches/weekend matches and travel. The board has factored the 2019 Lok Sabha elections dates/phases; in the respective states and cities and clearance thereof.

The league matches conclude on May 5 and the BCCI is expected to announce the schedule for the playoffs in the coming days. Earlier the board was waiting for the dates of the Indian general elections, ever since the Election Commission declared the dates, it was up to the board to finalize the fixtures based on the same. They’ve stuck to the initial plan of hosting all the matches in the country and have worked out the schedule accordingly as well.
