The Indian cricket team on Thursday reached the West Indies at St. Kitts where they will play a four-Test series with the opening fixture in Antigua on July 21.

A tweet from the head coach Anil Kumble with a photograph of some team members confirmed this. He wrote:A”Reached St. Kitts…

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) also tweeted a photograph of the entire Indian team when they reached St.Kitts.A”India led by @imVkohli arrived in #StKitts to prepare for the 4 Tests in #Antigua, #Jamaica, #StLucia, #Trinidad,” the WICB tweeted.

The series will mark Anil Kumble’s debut as the new head coach of the team while it will also be the first Carribean tour as a captain for Virat Kohli.

Prior to the start of the series, India are scheduled to play a couple of warm up matches against theAWest Indies Cricket Board President’s XI on July 9-10 and July 14-16 at Warner Park, Basseterre.

Post that, the series will commence on July 21 with the first match in Antigua at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, the 2nd Test at Kingston from July 30 to August 3, the 3rd Test at Gros Islet from 9th August to the 13th and the last one of the series at Trinidad on August 18th.
