As per the statement from the West Indies Cricket Board, pace bowler Jerome Taylor has retired from international Test cricket.

Further throwing light on the issue, report from ESPNcricinfo said that the 32-year old speedster will continue to don the West Indian jersey for t-20’s and ODI’s.

Taylor had so far taken 130 wicket in the 46 Test matches that he had played, with the last one in Sydney in early 2016.

Having given his formal and official notification of retiremnt to the cricket board, he was not considered for the squad for the upcoming series against India later this month.

Despite injury, Taylor managed to take four 5-wicket hauls with the most special one coming in 2009 against England with bowling figures of 5-11 to power his team West Indies to reduce the the England team for 51 and claim an inning victory.
