The defending champions Australia take on up and coming side Afghanistan in their inaugural encounter of the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Rashid Khan the global sensation would be the player to watch out for from the Afghanistan camp. The 20-year-old will be playing his first world cup. In 59 matches he has bagged 125 wickets and scored four fifties being a good allrounder.

David Warner after serving the 11-month ban is back in the side. After returning he was the orange cap winner in the IPL. This shows that he is capable enough of batting well and will have high hopes from the team. When Australia met Afghanistan last time in World Cup Warner scored 178 runs in that match.
