#1. Selection in School Cricket Team
Millions of fans will thank an unknown lady after knowing this chapter of Dhonias life. A match of Dhonias School cricket team was scheduled just around the time when the Board examinations were due. Dhoni was playing Football on the field with no idea of what was to come. A wicketkeeper batsman of the cricket team walked on the field with his mother. She denied her sonas participation in the upcoming match. The coach almost begged the women to allow his son but the lady was in no mood to take chances with her sonas studies. After a bit of request the school coach saw a Football Goalkeeper doing a decent job with gloves in hand. And the next moment he decided to bring MS Dhoni into the School Cricket team.
#2. How Dhoni became the Skipper in 2007?
When we talk about cricket, there is one name that has always been talked about. The Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar. Yes, he is the genius behind this decision. He suggested the selection committee to think of Dhoni as a captain. Sachin had a lot of interaction and talks with MSD on the field when he was fielding at the slip cordon for the majority of the England tour in 2007. #4. Not picked in the Railways side
The selections were in place and Dhoni walked in and performed well but still was not picked. This was the early stage of his first class career. Dhoni was a bit upset by the fact that he had performed well but still not picked in the team. But this did not stop him from performing on a consistent basis. He kept on working hard on his game and one fine day, MS Dhoni again gets a call from the Railways with the assurance that he will be in the squad. But, guess what? This time Dhoni rejected.

Mahias childhood friend Santosh Lal died of pancreatitis at the age of 29. Dhoni had assured his family of all help in his treatment. But unfortunately, Santosh Lal could not make it.
