As it was expected after England posted a massive total on the board Pakistani top order crumbled under the pressure. No one from the top order looked comfortable against England pacers. Hafezz as usual threw his wicket away. Shan Masood got a start but was soon dismissed by Anderson. Azhar and Younis poor tour continued as they both were dismissed for just 1. It was then again upto Captain Misbah to bail Pakistan out of trouble he tried his best and batted with the lower order batsman and Sarfraz Ahmed to take Pakistan to a partly 198 well behind England 1st innings.

In the 2nd innings as well Pakistan didn’t got a good start. They were 2 down for 25. Hafeez and Younis batted well untill both batsman threw their wicket away after a good start. If Pakistan are to make a comeback in the test series their top order will have to bat well.
