The NADA decision to show Narsingh Yadav blameless from charges of doping was welcomed by double Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar. It would enable Narsingh to represent the country at the Olympic Games.
Sushil and Narsingh were stuck in a grievous legal battle as to who would represent the country in the 74kg category.
The quota was won by Narsingh while a trial was wanted by Sushil.
“Bahot Khushi ki baat hain. Mera support pahle bhi thaa, aaj bhi bhain aur kal bhi rahega. (It’s a great news. My support was there earlier also, even today and will remainAtomorrow). Go win for me and the country,” the legendary Olympian tweeted.
It was also bemoaned by him that wrestling in the past few months went through this confusing phase.
“very unfortunate to see the Wrestling go through this. I have given my life to it and will always support fellow wrestlers,” Sushil stated in the micro-blogging site.
