It has been A3 seasons since the Red Devils (ManchesterAUnited) last had a taste of Premier League glory as Sir Alex left in 2013, departing with the club’s 20th Premier League Title victory. But since then it has been almost a disastrous performance by the club according to their legendary status.
But the team has undergone a lot of changes in the past few years and a new Man United side is set to start the new season, stronger than ever. Here are the top 5 reasons why United can reign over England with their 21st Premier League Title.
5. The Special Ones : Support Staff
The Mourinho-United relationship has been a bittersweet one ever since Jose’s infamous run along the touchline at Old Trafford after his Porto side’s last minute winner at the Champions League. He went on to win the Champions League that year but to earned the ire of United Fans and also that of Sir Alex. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then and as fate would have it, quite ironically Jose is back at the the Theatre of Dreams, but this time as the boss. Both the club and Jose at Chelsea had a forgettable last season and look for for redemption this season. Winning four titles at four different countries is the kind of brilliance the new United team need to rebuild and Mourinho provides just that. A change in Philosophy from the Van Gaal is expected although Jose was his apprentice. A more direct approach has proven successfull in the English League over the years and also proven so last year by the successes of Leceister City and Tottenham Hotspurs. We can expect exactly that from the Portuguese and don’t be surprised if he pulls one out of the hat. His Assistant Rui Faria has accompanied him to Man United and efficient, agressive moves by Ed Woodward has made the Fans hope for the glory days yet again.
