The Olympic spirit which is in full swing will be further fueled with a?Run For Rioa an event to be held in New Delhi on Sunday.Prime Minister Narendra modi will flag the run which will start from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and will end at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Special arrangements have been made for the event as it is expected to have some 20,000 school students in attendance. The event will also be marked with the release of a publication of the Sports Authority of India on Indian Olympics Journey, which will carry interesting information on countryas Olympics achievements and preparations for the future.
The supervisor of the event Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay highlighted that the main aim is to instill the Olympic in the hearts of the people of india especially children. Also it is a chance to wish the Indian Olympic contingent and show countryas support.
The Sports Authority of India Regional Centres at Sonepat, Kolkata, Bhopal, Gandhinagar and Thiruvananthapuram are also set to organize similar events.
Special arrangements have been to set up for an Olympic Exhibition and a Food Park with NDMC to cater interest at of the masses.
