FC Pune City have signed Uruguayan foward Emiliano Alfaro as their first player for the ISL Season 2017-18.
The Rajesh Wadhawan Group owned Indian Super League club FC Pune City made their first foreign signing with Emiliano Alfaro for the 2017 edition of the league. The Uruguayan striker who plied his trade in Uruguay, Italy and UAE had represented NorthEast United FC last season. In his 13 appearances for NEUFC, the South American forward scored five goals.

Emiliano Alfaro’s Career Path
Alfaro began his professional career with Uruguaya��s leading national premier division club Liverpool FC in 2006. After being the top-scorer at his club for two consecutive seasons, Alfaro got the national team call against Italy in a friendly match in 2011.A� This game brought him attention from Italian club Lazio. After spending three seasons with Lazio, Alfaro had a season long stint both in and back home with Liverpool FC in 2014-15 where they won the Segunda Division title.
He most recently played for Al-Fujairah SC in the United Arab Emirates Division One.
