NAGOA, GOA, MARCH 31: Ambernath United Atlanta FC drew 3-3 against Goa Reserves in their Hero I-League 2, Group D match held on Thursday, 30th March 2023 at Nagoa Panchayat Ground in Goa
Coming into this match on the back of four points from six in their two home matches, AUA FC were about to face Goa Reserves in their first away match of the season.Goa Reserves meanwhile were looking to earn their first points after two defeats from their first two matches.
The match began with a fiery first half as the home side went ahead in the 9th minute as Delton Colaco put Goa Reserves 1-0 up. AUA FC were quick to equalise as captain Himanshu Patil made it 1-1 in the 14 minute of the match. Goa Reserves’ lead lasted only for five minutes. AUA FC quickly turned the scoreline in their favour as Ashley Koli scored their second just two minutes after they scored their first.
Jordan Borges made it 2-2 in the 27th minutes to bring Goa Reserves back on level terms. Under the first 30 minutes, four goals were scored, two from each side as we were back to where we started. At the halftime whistle the score remained 2-2.
AUA FC went ahead in the 62nd minute as Arif Shaikh made it 3-2 in their favour. Once again Goa Reserves equalised, this time in the 75th minute as Bryson Pereira made it 3-3. This tipsy turvy game produced six goals in 75 minutes. At full-time the score remained 3-3 as both teams shared a point.
As a result of this high scoring draw, ARA FC remain top of Group D with 8 points having played a game more.
AUA FC and Dempo SC are tied on 5 points each and will collide this Sunday, 2nd April 2023. Goa Reserves meanwhile scored their first point of the campaign.
