Brampton, 29th July 2023: The highly anticipated matches of the Global T20 Canada league scheduled for Saturday were called off without a single ball bowled, due to rain. The first match of the day was meant to feature the Toronto Nationals and the Montreal Tigers while the second clash was scheduled between the Surrey Jaguars and the Vancouver Knights. As per tournament stipulations all four teams that were set to compete in today’s matches were awarded one point each. Global T20 Canada announced refunds for all ticket holders.

Currently, the Brampton Wolves lead the Global T20 Canada League table with an impressive seven points from five games. The Montreal Tigers claim the second spot with the same points but a slightly lower net run rate, while the Surrey Jaguars hold strong in third place with six points. The Toronto Nationals and Vancouver Knights closely trail behind in fourth and fifth place, both securing five points, but with the Knights having a lower net run rate. At the bottom of the table, the Mississauga Panthers continue their quest for their first points after five games.

Action picks up tomorrow when the Brampton Wolves take on the Mississauga Panthers while the Toronto Nationals will clash against the Montreal Tigers.
