The Welsh FA (FAW)AhaveA rejected an approach from Hull City to talk to manager Chris Coleman about the vacancy forA their vacant manager’s job.

The 46-year-old’sAstock is high after Wales’ achievement in France, where heAguided Wales to the last four of the 2016 European Championship in their first major tournament since 1958.

Since the departure of Hull manager Steve Bruce, who stepped down last month, ColemanAhas been heavily linked by British media with Hull.

“The FAW can confirm that it has received an official approach from Hull City FC for the services of manager Chris Coleman,” it said in a statement on its website.

“Following discussions amongst leading figures within the association the approach has been rejected. Everybody at the FAW are fully focused on the forthcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.”

Coleman, The former Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Blackburn Rovers defender has also managed Coventry City, Real Sociedad in Spain and Greek side LarissaAbefore taking over as Wales manager in 2012.
