The Ashes Rivalry continues in the World Cup now in Semi Finals when the hosts England will take on Australia for the second time in the tournament. Here are some of the key players to watch out from the encounter-

Ben Stokes

In their last face off Ben Stokes was impressive with the bat but he unfortunately got out on a superb yorker by Mitchell Starc. As it is crunch time for the England side, Stokes will look to give his best in the match with both bat and the ball.

Alex Carey

Scoring an impressive 85 in the last match, Alex Carey has shown he has the capability to handle the pressure well in the crucial matches. Although Australia lost their last match but Carey’s efforts was commendable, to say the least.

Jason Roy

Roy missed out the crucial match against the Aussies in the league stage. The opener has been in his best form in last two matches that he played after returning from his knock. Roy has always done well against the Aussies and will hope to carry on his form in the semis clash.

Mitchell Starc

Starc was quite fabulous in the last meeting against England picking up four wickets. The left arm fast bowler will look to finish up the English batting order as soon as possible. Also in terms of records, currently Starc has equalled Glenn Mcgrath’s record for the most wickets in a single world cup with 26 and he would look forward to break the milestone.

Liam Plunkett

Talking about experience Liam Plunkett has been the important player for England for the past couple of years. The 34 year old has been still in a perfect shape for the team. He bowled a very good spell of 1 for 28 against New Zealand in the last match thereby contributing to the side. His experience bowling against the rivals Australia will be an important asset for his side.
