Wales star Gareth Bale was all praises for his Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo referring to him as a ‘natural goal scorer’ after the winger’s match winner which led Portugal to the finals of the European Championship.

The first half was goalless, but Ronaldo struck early at the start of the second half in the 5oth minute to put Portugal in the lead against Wales. In the next 3 minutes, it was Nani who came to the party and doubled the lead to give Fernando Santos’s side a 2-0 win at Lyon.

With his header, Ronaldo achieved another rare feat, he equalled Michel Platini’s record of nine goals at the Euros.

“Obviously he’s a natural goal scorer and he scored yet again,” Bale was quoted as saying by goal.com.

However, the midfielder did not seem too discouraged with the defeat, saying the team had no regrets of losing in the semi finals and were proud of their run at the European Championships.

“They got their first goal and were lucky on the second. We tried our hardest to get back into the game and fought until the last second. We gave everything. We have no regrets,” he added.

Portugal will now face either hosts France or world champions Germany in the finals of the Euro 2016 at the Stade de Franc in Paris.
