Indian tyre conglomerate MRF (Madras Rubber Factory Limited) has been announced at EPL side Newcastle Uniteda��s new shirt sleeve sponsor for the 2017/18 Premier League season.
Founded in 1946, MRF is the largest manufacturer of tyres in India and has more than 15,000 employees. The publicly listed company also produces treads, tubes and conveyor belts, as well as toys and paint.
India is a key market for the Premier League and its clubs, with Star Sportsa�� live HD coverage reaching a fanatical fan base across more than 75 million homes.
With the Premier League enabling clubs to feature a sponsor on one sleeve for the very first time this season, MRF becomes Newcastle Uniteda��s first ever sleeve sponsor in the cluba��s 125th anniversary year.
MRFa��s logo will now feature on the left sleeve of the Magpiesa�� home, away, third and goalkeeper kits, while the Premier League logo will remain on the right sleeve.
The team will wear shirts adorned with MRF for the first time during this Sundaya��s Premier League trip to Swansea City AFC, which is being broadcast live around the world and amongst other places in India too.
