Jose Mourinho

a?Mourinho is a strong character. He is a winner, one of the best managers in the world and we feel it. We are really comfortable with him.

‘He is a strong character but he makes jokes. It is good for us to laugh and I think he is a really good manager,a he added later on.

Other than the FA cup at the end of last season and the Community Shield over three years ago, United have not managed to win anything, since Sir AlexAFerguson retired after winning the 2012-2013 Premier League season. Fans and the players will be hoping that this could be their year and Mourinho could be the one to do it.

He has already showed mettle by signing the enigmatic and eccentric Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan who scored and assisted over 50 goals last season for Borussia Dortmund in all tournaments and the 6 foot 2 Ivorian Coast defender Eric Bertrand Bailly.

United missed out on a Champions league spot last season and thus will have to compete in the Euro League during the 2016-2017 season and fans will be hoping that the Special One can make his first season a trophy laden one.
