Jordon Ibe, England’s under 21-international and Liverpool winger has signed a new four-year deal with Bournemouth who have described the player as a “huge prospect.”

Prior to joining the Red’s academy, the player was with Wycombe Wanderers until 2011 and since his transfer has had 58 outings with Liverpool’s first team.

Bournemouth will reportedly pay 15 million pounds for the forward however the official transfer fee has not been announced by either of the clubs. Last summer, Ibe had failed to make his presence felt in the club’s starting line up.

“He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect,” Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said in a statement on the club website (www.afcb.co.uk).

Since Raheem Sterling’s transfer to Manchester City in 2015, Ibe was tipped to fill in his big boots.

He even impressed the new manager Juergen Klopp due to his sheer pace and direct running and hence enjoyed a string of appearances in the team before being relegated to the sidelines of the first team squad.

In his tenure with Liverpool, Ibe scored a mere 4 goals with the last one, a solo effort coming against West Bromwich Albion.
