BENGALURU, India – Oct 6, 2023: The Wipro Bengaluru Marathon will be held on Sunday, 8th October 2023 and will take runners through important landmarks of the city, concluding at the Kanteerava Stadium.
Bengaluru Marathon is a marque running event that celebrates the spirit of Bengaluru and promotes fitness and healthy lifestyle. It is the only marathon in which participants run through the heart of the city across M.G Road, Cubbon Road, Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park.
The 10th edition of the ‘City Run’, sponsored by Wipro Limited, is expected to have more than 20,000 participants across all age groups. The marathon will have three categories — the full marathon of 42.195 km, the half marathon of 21.1 km and the 5K Hope Run — certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons).
As an inclusive run, the event will have a special flag off for People with Disabilities empowered by AssisTech Foundation. They will be joined by industry leaders as buddy runners and a team of visually impaired participants supported by guide runners.
Wipro also integrated the 17th edition of its annual Spirit of Wipro’ (SOW) Run with the Bengaluru Marathon. The event will bring together employees and their families to foster a deeper sense of community, collaboration, and connection.
