Ask any Arsenal fan who is their favourite player ever? And I guarantee you, 90 per cent of the answers will be the same.
Again go back to them and ask them who would be their striker in their all-time 11? Old or new, the answer will be the same, the same two men. You see, that was the effect that a certain Frenchman had on them, a certain bond, a justified bond but a bond nonetheless. He came to the club for a mere 11 million pounds and stayed at the club for 8 years. But during those eight years he managed to immortalize himself, in the hearts of Arsenal fans and outside Emirate’s stadium.
He has only one name but Gooners called him by millions. The King of Highbury, El Mimo, Titi and of course Thierry Henry. He played as a striker for Arsenal and thata��s all that matters, because for eight whole years he scored goals with a lethal grace. His work rate, his goalscoring ability, his leadership qualities and of course the ability to score important goals at important moments were all what helped Arsenal becoming a force to be reckoned with during those 8 years.
So today, on his 39th birthday we take a look at some of the greatest and most memorable goals by the King, and wonder if there will ever be another Thierry Henry (nope, not possible) ?
