2011, Arsenal beat Barcelona 2-1 at the Emirates stadium. In part it was all thanks to a splendid performance by the then 19 year old man. Barcelona as usual did have majority of the ball and completed more than twice the number of passes but were still beaten. The maestro of that Barcelona side, Xavi Hernandez had found a rival in the Arsenal line up. A young Englishman, who had already been playing for a good 4 odd years at the Emirates, had the talent to keep up with Xavi. Not many people can say that, actually bar a few players nobody can.

Jack Wilshere has always been the face of the future Arsenal. Ever since that sensational season, a little over 5 years ago, the Englishman had (and still has) the ability to become something great at Arsenal. A world class talent, who Xavi Hernandez once called the a?future of English footballa? and a player who could become one the best midfielders in the world…

With such expectations, one would hope that it would be words to live by. But unfortunately, off late Wilshereas career has been stalled amid a mire of injuries, fitness concerns. That has unfortunately stented any development what so ever. Plus, his lack of form and consistency in pure game time, has seen the 24 year fall down the pecking order at Arsenal. Even now, with the additions of Elneny in January and Granit Xhaka recently, Jackas playing time has been cut. From a starting 11 place to the a few substitute appearances now and then.

Now with Big Sam cutting him from the England squad, Arsene and Arsenal want to give Jack a chance to win his place back and maybe find his touch again. Recent reports from multiple sources say that the Arsenal boss has considered giving the Englishman some time away from the club with a loan spell.

Earlier this would never have happened, Wenger letting a star player leave even when heas fully fit. But now, given the depth of the current Arsenal squad, it seems that, they have a squad that can cope with the loss of a player like Jack Wilshere a something they have done anyway for the past few years.

Maybe he can revitalise his career and return to Arsenal a brand new player. He had or rather has the talent to become a sensational player for the Gunners. It seems that Wenger hopes and believes that too, and wants to architect a chance at the return of Jack Wilshere.
