This 25 year-old pacer plays his first class cricket for Tamil Nadu . He came into the auction with a base price of 10 L . Natarajan was bought for 3 Crore by Kings XI Punjab. He became the highest paid Indian Uncapped Player in the auction.
Natarajan’s life-changing moment came in the Tamil Nadu Premier League last year. He claimed 10 wickets in seven matches for Dindigul Dragons at less than 7.5 runs an over. Against eventual champions Tuti Patriots, Natarajan sent down six consecutive yorkers and successfully defended 12 runs in the Super Over.
He played a strong role in taking his team to semifinals in 2016-17 Ranji Season. As he says “It brings a lot of pressure. I have to somehow prove my worth and do my best for Kings XI Punjab”. Hope he makes use of the limelight in perfect way to shine through.
