The Delhi Daredevils will look to open their account in VIVO IPL 2017 when they take on Rising Pune Supergiant in Pune.
It is still early days in the 10th edition of IPL and Rising Pune Supergiant had a mixed outing so far with a winAand loss from two games they have played so far. Pune got off their campaign on a rousing note byAdefeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by seven wickets at home. Then theyAslumped to a 6-wicket defeat against Kings XI Punjab in their next outing in Indore.
The Daredevils, on the other hand, lost by 15 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the only game they had played in the tournament so far. Despite restricting RCB to 157 for eight, DaredevilsAbatting line-up failed to chase down the target, managing 142Afor nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Delhi might hand out an IPL debut for their INR 5 crore buy Kagiso Rabada. Carlos Brathwaite, hence, might have to make way for Corey Anderson. Brathwaite was less than impressive with both bat and ball. Pat Cummins continued his good form in DDas first match from the Test series.
RPS found it difficult to get going with the bat in the previous game. An extra batsman like Usman Khawaja in place of Dan Christian might be a good idea. Khawaja can either open the innings or bat at No. 4, which will give RPS a bit more depth in their batting. Manoj Tiwary played a useful hand of 40 off 23 in the previous match. His presence at No. 6 or 7 makes RPSa batting all the more strong.
